On Monday the 1st of July Year 3 went to Cresswell Crags near Derbyshire to learn all about what it would be like to live in the Stone Age as part of our topic `Tribal Tales`. We split into three groups to do lots of exciting and fun activities which included learning how to survive in the wild.We even built
This morning me and my class went outside on the field to do an assault course to raise money for the school. I really enjoyed it it was lots of fun. This morning some of the children from our school council visited Victoria Manor Care Home to find out about how Coventry has changed over the years. Residents chatted to us about what Coventry was like in the 40s, their own ‘Blitz’ experiences and how industry has changed. It was an enjoyable experience for all.
This morning we were fortunate enough to have a guest speaker come to talk to us about the history of our city. We learnt all about ‘Coventry firsts’ including a famous Tudor banquet, the invention of the jet engine and Coventry City joining the 1st division under the management of Jimmy Hill.
