In Year 3 we have all enjoyed learning about our new topic… Predator. Craig and Jake from Eclipse Falconry visited us in the classroom with a barn owl, a harris hawk, a ferret, a python and a rabbit (we were also discussing prey!). We have been learning about forces in Year 3. We investigated the force needed to move an object, and the effect a lever has on this. We recorded our results in a table and drew our own conclusions about how levers help us to move objects with less force needed.
Year 3 have been busy making their own chocolate treats! We designed our chocolates thinking of the flavours and toppings that we would like. We even thought of some interesting names for our own chocolates. We had great fun designing our own chocolate boxes to put them in. Mr Bolus and Mrs Taylor were left disappointed as there were none
On Thursday 10th October Year 3 visited Cadbury World in Birmingham as part of our topic this half term Scrumdiddlyumptious. We wrote a set of instructions for making iced biscuits. We had to follow the instructions, exactly as they had been written, to create our masterpieces! What`s in the box?We were using our senses to identify hidden objects inside the box.We discovered later that they were either a fruit or a vegetable!! We used exciting adjectives to help describe the objects inside. There were a few surprises!!
