Dol-y-Moch Day 1

During our first full day here in Dol-y-Moch, the children have thoroughly enjoyed getting out and about in the beautiful sunshine.

Group A climbed Cnicht Mountain, which is nearly 700m above sea level, totalling up over 15,000 steps. They worked well as a team and pushed themselves to their limits. We made it to the summit just after lunch-time and were mesmerised by the glorious views.

Group B went abseiling this morning and kayaking this afternoon. As the weather was so fine, all of the children took on the famous Dol-y-Moch dive but were pleased of a warm shower afterwards!

Group C developed their leadership skills whilst climbing a neighbouring mountain to Cnicht. On the way back the children navigated the way along a rocky path alongside a river whilst enjoying the scenery.

Group D worked as a team to navigate their way across a mountain and then spent the afternoon scrambling on the beach and playing in the sea. Luckily they were sensible enough to only get their feet wet.

This evening, the children have taken part in one of two night-time activities – Labyrinth or the Night-line. They were all very brave and had a great time. They are all now tucked up in bed, fast asleep ready for their next action filled day tomorrow. Fingers crossed for more sunshine!
