In yr 5 we are learning about life cycle of birds. We found out that female birds are dark and usually brown. Males are usually bright and flashy to attract a mate. One exception is the sanctuary bird, where the female opens her feathers to make a ‘tutu’, and the male chooses the best ballet dance. We were given an egg in pairs and cut them open, to investigate what was inside. But some people dropped them on the floor!
When we cut them open we were given tweezers and had to find the germinal disk and chalaza.
WE GOT VERY EGGY!
