Girls football match

On Friday 25th January, the girls football team had their first league match of the season away at Finham Primary School. The girls started brightly in the first half as they passed the ball around nicely showing no signs of rust in the first league match. Ernesford went a goal up half way through the first half and looked good for their lead. Unfortuantely, just before half time we conceded and came in at half time level.

The girls were in good spirits during the half time team talk and the Haribos that were eaten in the car had given them the energy needed in the second half. Again the girls showed excellent teamwork and looked to get back in front. The girls took the lead and then looked to see out the game. We managed to score 3 goals in the second half with some lovely one touch passing.

The final score was 4-1 to Ernesford Grange and an excellent start to the girls season. 4 different goal scorers and a special mention to Jaime Leigh who stepped in at the last minute to go in goal
