In 2CR we have been using the whiteboard tables to help us with bridging when finding the difference between two numbers.
On our Muck, Mess and Mixtures engage day we, we painted our hands and feet and we made a giant poster of our hand and feet prints. We put our hands in shaving foam. There was red glitter and cotton wool in the shaving foam. It felt funny and we had a lot of fun exploring messy materials.
In Science we have been learning about how important the heart is to us and its job in our bodies. We learned how to take our pulse while we rested and took it again after we had exercised for one minute. Our hearts were beating much faster to give our bodies the oxygen it needs!
In English we have been retelling the story of The Frog Prince in different ways. We sequenced the story using picture cards, we retold the story to our friends and then we acted it out in groups. It was very tricky, but we even tried to include time adverbials and adjectives while we were talking.
In History we have been learning to write a fact file about an important person. The person we learned about is the Paralympian Jonnie Peacock. It was interesting to learn about his “sausage leg” and how he trained hard to win a gold medal in 2017.
In Art we all had lots of fun creating pictures outside. We dipped balls in bright paint and rolled, dabbed and dropped them onto large pieces of card. After that, we described the art which we had made.
Year 2 Trip to Stratford As part of our ‘Land Ahoy’ topic in year 2, we went for a lovely day out in Stratford-upon-Avon. We went on a boat trip and learned about life on the water. We learned about all the different parts of boats. We went for a walk and played in the park. In the park we
